Daníel Magnússon graduated from The Icelandic College of Arts and Crafts in 1987 and immediately began attracting attention due to his interesting work where Icelandic culture was often the subject. He is mainly known for his sculptures and photographs although he has also designed and built furniture as well as theatre stages.
