Location: Staðarhverfi, Grafarvogi. This work is created in rusty steel, the rust references the nature, earth- or soil colour made from minerals, formed in heat. The rust is only on the surface, apart from that the work is rust-free. The sculpture is hollow, and the steel is sandblasted on the inside. Brynhildur likes to pitch different materials together, such as concrete, sand, glass, etc. and thus creating tension or a dialogue. Otherwise, the piece is a traditional sculpture in the spirit of the abstract art of the 1950s and 60s. It has sharper edges and is more irregular than was custom back then, but has a strong reference to nature.
