The artist’s works often play with images, materials and language to create certain visual or mental images. In this case, Snorri Sturluson (1179-1241), Icelandic historian, poet and politician, the golden plover and other cultural references are presented in a cabinet-turned-relic or altarpiece. First displayed at the exhibition Sculpture Sculpture at Kjarvalsstaðir for Reykjavík Arts Festival 1994.
