Location: Vesturbæjarskóli Magnús Tómasson was commissioned to create sculptures for Vesturbæjarskóli and forming the school grounds in close collaboration with architect Ingimundur Sveinsson. The rocks have not been shaped by the artist’s hand, but he has attached to them horns of bulls and an aluminium unicorn horn. We get the feeling that a unicorn is facing two bulls. The rocks create a challenging tension towards the school building and the environment, they are ideal to arouse the school children’s imagination and get them thinking about their environment in a creative and independent way.
