The United Nations General Assembly had passed a resolution that the year 1975 should be dedicated to women emphasising equality, progress and peace followed up with a decade of planned projects to further those aims. This created a chance for women to raise their banners higher and speak out louder in the fight for gender equality. This work is dedicated to all the women that helped create and partook in The Women's Day out of Work 1975, especially the main organizers.
